“When you give a little bit of the craziness and the flexibility [of theatre] to the business world, and you bring the business [manners and suit & tie] then something new can come out” – Idit Neuderfer
Idit Neuderfer is an Israeli actress and coach. She successfully combines the two worlds of theatre and business to help people to be memorable and create great presentations. Having realised that she wasn’t happy living only in the world of theatre, she started studying marketing and the effect of body language and now shakes up all that she knows to create the perfect cocktail. In today’s show, Jacob talks to Idit about her cocktail theory, how to be memorable and making an effective presentation.
“When people were children, they had the best time of their lives. When we touch those feelings again, then they [the people] remember’” – Idit Neuderfer
What is it that gets you ahead in business? According to Idit Neuderfer it’s all about being memorable and creating a connection. Idit comes from the world of theatre and now uses what she has learnt there and mixed it up with the business world to help people get the most out of themselves. Today Jacob and Idit chat about being remembered over everyone else, creating intimacy and shaking yourself up.

Written Podcast Transcription:
Jacob: Hello everybody, welcome to The Enchanting Lawyer Podcast. This is Jacob Sapochnick, your host. As you know this is a show where we interview the most inspiring entrepreneurs, business people, and just cool people from all over the world that share their ideas and innovation with us and help us be better at what we do.
Today, we continue our tour on the world. Last week we had an amazing entrepreneur from France. Today, we go to Israel. We have a very exciting, upbeat, and a very gifted person. Her name is Idit Neuderfer.
Idit is an actress. She won in 2014 Globs Magazine’s “One of the four people to fulfill your dreams” award. She’s selected by SBC as mentor of the year. She has a very innovative approach to what she does as far as presenting and talking to people as far as learning about ideas and how to give a killer presentation. I wanted to welcome Idit to the show. Welcome, Idit.
Idit: Thank you so much, Jacob. I’m happy to be here.
Jacob: I’m very excited that you are here. People that are not (audio cuts) popular TV shows in Israel. I’m just excited to have you here. You can tell us more about you. You are now in Israel at this moment, correct?
Idit: Yes, it’s correct. It’s night now when you are having your lunch.
Jacob: Exactly, perfect. Idit, I gave a little intro about you. Obviously you’re coming from the world of theater, of performance. You’re doing a very innovative thing by combining this and trying to cross over to the business world and there’s so many things we can learn from this. Before we dive a bit about your background and how you got to where you are now.
Idit: I’ll start with the way I always start in almost every lecture I do which is to tell my story in 30 seconds. Even now, we already kind of started the learning, the studying. How we can actually do this 30 seconds as a teaser.
Let’s say five years ago I was supposed to be one of the happiest person in the world. That is because I was a full-time (audio cuts) television. I was on shows, and stages, big stages night after night but I was not happy. There was something inside me that kept on saying, “You can do more than this. You can do more.”
